Responsive Deeb Brothers: Visual Research_

I decided it would be beneficial to look at logos that are in any way related to the subject to gain as much inspiration as possible, I have started of by looking into banking logos in general looking at some of the most successful brand identities and then some examples of banking firms that are not as success full i will go onto break down the logos looking at what is successful and what is'nt.

i have found that there is again a recurring theme that is communicated throughout there is a common use of icon that depicts an animal  as shown above with the use of a horse and below in the form of what looks to me like and eagle.

I have looked into what meanings are related to these animals to gain an understanding of why the designer could have used this.

Horse Symbol

The meaning of the horse symbol was to signify mobility, stamina, strength and power. It was so revered by some tribes that the horse also represented loyalty, love and devotion. he horse symbol was also a sign of mutual respect.

Eagle Symbol

"The eagle displayed is the symbol of supreme power and authority, and signifies the Congress."

I feel that the messages that are communicated in the designs below are very effective and as these are some of the most successful i feel this method is definitely something i will look into when developing my design ideas.

Another thing i have found that is a commonality within these design is that there are range of designs some of which are displayed below that consist of a simplistic design that consists of a design contained in another. To me personally what i get from this is that the outer shape containing represents safety and security these are what the banks want to communicate.

Now that i have gained an understanding of who my audience is and some sort of design direction i feel it is about time to start putting together some design development, I Can always put in more time in terms of research if i start to struggle.
