What is Good: Research Booklet.

Final research booklet_

The photos below show my research booklet this contains the research that has really informed my design decisions and that i really concider to be the most important areas of research within the project, I have created the booklet again based around the concept for eaxmple the book is wrapped up with a decorative wrap that gives the booklet that aspect of desireability and makes the viewer want to explore what is inside.

The wrap contains information on then the subject as shown below An introduction to healthy eating.

then when peeled away reveals what the booklet contains Research and application.

When un folded the wrap then contains the research book following the ame colour scheme of white, black and fluorescent green

The layout of the book is again just a representation of the project as a whole the layout is simplistic and clean i have ensured that the book is not over wordy as this can be a problem when having to read this i stripped down the information  and only included the most significant points that informed my design decisions and ways of thinking.

The booklet contains documentation of my visits as seen below i documented my visits stating what i found effective and what i found to be in effective. I was then able to put aspects of each together to create the concept for my restaurant.

The brand break down like i have already stated when it came down to creating a logo i really wanted to apply theoretical elements to this to produce a logo that is massively effective and communication is strong. i broke down a range of my competitors branding to found out what i could interpret from this conceptually. I feel that by doing this i really informed my self on how to include conceptual thinking within a logo design.

The screenshots below show the double page sprads from my booklet and the information that was included within.

What is Good_ Audience Research_ Tastes.

Research into my audience was vital in terms of looking into what design direction to take, i feel that by looking at what interests the audience will give me a great idea on what route to take with the looka nd feel of my designs. The areas of interest are very open and this allowed me to look at an overall so looking at what is popular amongst society.

looking at what is trending worked out to be veery effective for me when informing me on what approach to take design wise, i found that many trends come and go within the years however it is great design and simplicity that is timeless and is common ground for example, Apple is the perfect example the beautifully simple design is timeless and is always desirable, also it is a guarantee that the majority of the people within that audience will posses some sort of apple product this shows how simplistic design can bridge all gaps with age and style. This timeless simplistic design direction i aim to follow to ensure my brand does not sway to any niche areas within the target audience.

What is Good_ Brand Breakdown_

When the time came for me to start thinking about developing a logo i had trouble thinking about the aesthetic approach to go down i wanted to create a design that had a strong theoretical element and that was heavily influenced by my research. I decided to start braking down the theory behind some of the most effective logos that are out there ensuring the logo was related to the subject matter. The screen shots below show how i have broken down the logo and have explained how i interpret the design

I feel this will be massively helpful for me in terms of creating a logo that is effective and doesn't just look nice.

What is good_ Analysis of Competitors packaging_

I have looked at existing Packaging designs to gain a greater understanding of what it is that makes us pick up a certain packaging, I found from research that the audience look for a product for around 6 seconds and it is the packages that are fighting for attention,  I have generated an idea that could effectively achieve this attention to a much more effective level. The packages on the shelf could all work as one to create a large logo for example this would in turn result in all much more attention grabbing element as the area that draws your attention is very large.

In terms of the actual desirability of a single product it is all don to the aesthetics of a product and the feel that it gives the viewer the product should always bring happiness to the audience. The feel of the product is down to the stock selection and the finish that is applied. If the product feels amazing the buyer will be very tempted to buy this product.

in terms of the look and the aesthetics of the packages there are that many beautifully designed packages out there on the market super markets and shops is like a fighting ground for these brands in my opinion simplicity is the best in combination with a colour that is un missable the two will contrast beautifully and be so attention grabbing the customer must pick the products up.
