I have started by looking at what the definitions of what print makers are, and what they do, i have then extended this research by looking at existing film makers.
Filmmaking (often referred to in an academic context as film production) is the process of making a film. Filmmaking involves a number of discrete stages including an initial story, idea, or commission, through scriptwriting, casting, shooting, editing, and screening the finished product before an audience that may result in a film release and exhibition. Filmmaking takes place in many places around the world in a range of economic, social, and political contexts, and using a variety of technologies and cinematic techniques. Typically, it involves a large number of people, and can take from a few months to several years to complete.
Examples of existing film production companies, i have looked at their web sites to gain a greater understanding of what they where about.
By looking at these website and doing some research on these sites i have found that different film Makers have different identities for their different areas of interest for example, 20TH Century Fox is all movie based and i feel this is all reflected within the identity design, for example the logo gives off a real epic cinematic feel.
On the other hand film makers that specialise in different areas take a much different approach for example look below how the gate_ specialises in advertising the design takes a much different approach the logo to me reflects to innovation and creativity these are again all key features that viewers look for in terms of advertising. So it has again shown me that the direction of the company is reflected by its logo
What is a Film Director_
A film director is a person who directs the actors and film crew in filmmaking. They control a film's artistic and dramatic aspects, while guiding the technical crew and actors.
A new director working on feature films might earn as much as $200,000 a year, while the most successful can earn over $500,000 per film plus a "back-end" percentage of the profits, which in some cases can lift their income to several million dollars.
