Concept_
The concept basically works on visualising and contextualising my essay, I feel this is the most appropriate and effective methods of communication to the audience. My essay is all about how design is an extension of panopticism in contemporary society. Throughout this essay i focused in on how society is controlled by design and how the society conforms to this without knowing it is even happening.
I aim to communicate this through the medium of print within an Exhibition. The work showcased within the exhibition will be photographic work that is showing how Panopticism is applied to everyday design in contemporary society. The audience will be directed through the exhibition by way finding and will be educated on Panopticism by the the artwork which is accompanied by a exhibition guide with educational information on the piece and how it demonstrates Panopticism.
After learning about Panopticism throughout the exhibition the audience then come to the end and are confronted by a wall of tv screens playing back their journey through the exhibition this will then hit home to the audience that they have been controlled as docile bodies by panoptic design within the exhibition, his will then inform the audience on how they conform to Panopticism on a Day to day basis.
The name CTRL is used to represent how Panopticism has developed with technology.
