Lecture 5: Subcultures and Styles

Female graffiti writers are judged on their physicality - overly sexualised character so exaggerated it is almost a assertion of femininity

The girls wear very similar clothing to the boys, situation where working class young people had part time jobs and developed a society outside of the work place.




The hippy girl is middle class and the experience came from the university experience, 


the group would not call themselves feminist - this group covered issues with empowerment
